Sunset Sunday-A Stroll through Chihuahua City at Sunset

a stroll in Chihuahua City at sunsetWe arrived in Chihuahua City midafternoon to attend the TravelLand Travel Summit. Chihuahua City is a long scenic drive from Ciudad Juarez and the US border. The summit proved educational, especially about northern Mexico and the adventures that await, including more about the Samalayuca Sand Dunes we visited on the way to TravelLand.

After leaving the conference and checking-in at our simple boutique hacienda hotel, I took to the streets with my new travel writer companion, Josh, to attempt to capture the sunset. In Chihuahua I attempted to capture sunsets along the El Chepe Train journey with a sunset in Copper Canyon and others sunsets in Casas Grandes such as the sunset at Hacienda San Diego, but this one would be my first. My sunset stroll through Chihuahua City. Ah Chihuahua!

Stay adventurous, Craig

Special thanks to Authentic Copper Canyon for helping facilitate my trip with the Mexico Tourism Board. For more information on the annual TravelLand Travel Summit, click here.

Bill, I wish we had more time to explore, but the train left at 6am, I just had 16 hours in town… not enough. Ah Chihuahua! Craig

Lovely shot, Craig. I love the way the clouds look so ominous. Such a contrast to the golden sunset.
