Sunset Sunday – Savannah, Georgia

Last April, I discovered a true southern gem. I visited Savannah, Georgia.  I spent a few days exploring the colonial city filled with American history, haunted tales, and southern hospitality. The walkable streets and city squares set a slower speed as trees covered with Spanish moss set a mood of mystery and intrigue.  There is something special about Savannah, yes indeed there is.

One evening, I headed to riverfront to chase the sunset and catch the moment along the water. There, the roof top bar Bohemian Hotel, a delicious dinning spot in Savannah, provided a perfect elevated view of the city and Savannah River. I took this image on passage to get there from the Westin Resort in anticipation of my sunset cocktail.

the sun is setting as I cross the river.

It was a memorable evening, a night I remember well. Yes, it was a real good night that started with a sunset. They often do. Happy Sunset Sunday.

Stay adventurous, Craig

Savannah is high on my list of places I want to visit. It has been ever since reading and watching Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.
