Mexico Travel Journal: Puerto Vallarta Episode 3: Viejo Vallarta

Just like you need to get out of on the Bay of Banderas, another must do, and one of the best things to do in Puerto Vallarta is a stroll through Viejo Vallarta. A walk through the pedestrian only Malecon and the zona romantica with a sunset and cerveza on the playa de los muertos  is a great way to spend the afternoon into the evening.

On the walk you meet the art and at times artists, taste the culture through its cuisine especially with its famous (and delicious) street foods. Yes, I can say they are safe, you can see me try a few in the video itself.

In the evening stay in the area for dinner. The video shows quite a few of the popular culinary destinations to explore too with stop in for chocolates too. Enjoy.

Stay adventurous, Craig

For 2017, the Mexican March Madness will showcase the Bitacora, my Mexico travel journal, chronicling my time through the Riviera Nayarit and then Puerto Vallarta across 12 episodes. All the videos have been uploaded to YouTube and will be showcased this March. All videos are property of Visit Mexico and I was compensated for my work.
