Sunset Sunday – The Harrisbug Sunset View From its Newest Rooftop

We left the dinner table at Cafe 1500 and headed to the rooftop of the newest residential address in Harrisburg. We took the elevators to the top floor to watch the Harrisburg sunset from atop 1500 Condominium. The views in every direction impressed. Views downtown of the State Capitol, views of the winding Susquehanna River, and the views of the sunset over the distant mountains made for a pleasant stroll atop the first new skyscraper constructed in Harrisburg for forty years.

a special sunset glow in the local Hershey Vineyard wine.

As the sun, sky and wine all worked it’s magic, we continued our conversations about the resurgence of the city. We discussed Harrisburg history and all the recent progress made in the Pennsylvania capital city. I realized I was conversing with three of the new faces of Harrisburg, and pondered what it would be like to be part of it. Their optimism and excitement was certainly contagious and the sunset in Harrisburg didn’t disappoint either. It was just another part of my discovery of a Handsome Harrisburg.

I took another sip of the rather enjoyable glass of Pennsylvanian wine from the local Hershey Vineyard and toasted the town as the sun finally dipped. I had my Harrisburg sunset. We finished dinner and I eagerly listened more about Harrisburg. I became very thankful for the opportunity to discover this historic city and learn about its resurgence from some of the people truly making a difference in the community.

Happy Sunset Sunday from Harrisburg.

For some reason I’m more drawn to the beautiful glass of wine than the actual sunset. What does that say about me?

I didn’t realize there were vineyards in Hershey (blame it on chocolate that gets all the fame). You can’t go wrong with local wine and beautiful sunset views.

Great photo all the way around. I haven’t spent much time in Pennsylvania other than Pittsburgh and Philly. I’d like to sample that wine.
