Sunset Sunday-Magic Kingdom, Disney World

Twenty years have passed since my last visit Disney World. Much has changed in my life and also much has changed at Disney World. But one thing that hasn’t changed is the opportunity to watch a sunset. As I often mention, the sunset occurs daily, everywhere and is available to everyone.  It’s one of the main reasons I appreciate it. Yet, as much as I love them all, some still seem special because of where you were and who you were with.

This is one of those special ones and I decided to share it on a special day.

This sunset occurred on the ferry boat passage from Fort Wilderness back to the Magic Kingdom. Sitting in the front of the ferry on a cool crisp night for Florida standards, I snapped this image.

at this moment, it didn't seem like Disney at all...

Travel Tips: During much of the fall and winter months when the sun sets earlier (around 5:45-6:30) you can take in the first showing of the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness (4pm) and then set sail (take a ferry boat) back to the Magic Kingdom over a sunset. Also, for those who enjoy boating with a cocktail, well, I guess you can always have an extra one at the all you can drink revue. But either way, a sunset as you head back to Main Street and the Magic Kingdom even provides a little more magic to a Disney adventure.

the view from the boat pulling in - now this is Disney...

Happy Sunset Sunday.
