I landed in Pensacola and my iPhone adjusted the time to the central time zone, already this place seemed different. The central time zone was in Florida? With the gained hour, the sunset on the Gulf Coast would come quicker and I still needed to get to Alabama’s Gulf Coast and watch it from the soft, sugary sands of Orange Beach.
I rented a car and drove the US roads along the Gulf Coast on my way to the almost secret Alabama coast and arrived in plenty of time for an Alabama sunset. The drive only took an hour and then after lunch and riding bicycles I checked in to my Meyer Vacation Rental in the Tidewater directly on Orange Beach. After checking out the beautiful view from the balcony, I decided to walk down to the Gulf of Mexico with a beer and my camera to enjoy the sunset from the beach. The November chill kept most people off the beach, but I needed to walk on the sand. Plus, being alone was a perfect way to spend the moment.
Happy Sunset Sunday.
Stay adventurous, Craig
The soft blueness in the sky for this sunset reminded me of the sunset on the cover of my 2014 Sunset Sunday Calendar even though the cover image had been taken miles away, in Malaysia. A special thank you to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach CVB for planning my excursion(s) and hosting. Also, thanks to Argus Car Hire for their support on my car rental. As always the adventure and opinions are my own.
