Ibiza-More than Meets the Eye

Ibiza, just off the coast of Spain is a small island with a big personality. Renowned for its party nights, top DJs come from all over to the mega clubs of the party capital of the world! But if you look beyond the buzzing club scene, you’ll find that there’s a lot more to Ibiza than meets the eye…

the waters of Ibiza, Spain

For a start, Ibiza offer stunning beaches, from serene coves to miles of soft sands and glittering waters which can reach temperatures of 26° in summer! Then there’s the landscape, beautiful scenery enriched with green pine trees and olive groves, which mingle with the island’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. There are plenty of chances to explore and get close to nature thanks to the many national parks and reserves on the island.

Thomas Cook holidays have some fantastic deals to Ibiza. Whether you are looking for a cheap, self-catering style holiday close to the nightlife in San Antonio, or a tranquil break in one of the quieter resorts such as the picturesque little town of Portinax on the north coast, check out some of their latest deals to find the break to suit you.

Ibiza Town has two sides; its vibrant party side and its old town which is full of character, where cobbled streets take you to traditional tapas restaurants. Overlooking the whole town is the splendid Dalt Vila castle – worth visiting for the spectacular views!

a town in Ibiza, it's more than clubs on this Spainsih IslandSan Antonio is where the original dance scene started out; it’s the place to go for the best club scene on the island. The two open beachfront clubs are popular; the dance floors fill up with clubbers partying as they watch the sun go down, and come up the following morning!

Playa d’en Bossa is popular with families, couples and groups with its gorgeous long sandy beach being the big attraction. There are lots of water sports on offer here as well as a great selection of bars, shops and restaurants.

Holidays in Ibiza certainly appeal on the clubbing front but don’t be put off if the dance floors aren’t for you – there’s much more to Ibiza than meets the eye.

It’s been many years since I have been to a Balearic Island. I was never to Ibiza but spent time in Mallorca (Majorca) Spain. Great beaches and beautiful views of steep mountain cliffs and perfect weather. Also great night life and amazing local dancing for entertainment. Thanks for bring back great memories.
