This Sunday the sun sets on the 2013-14 NFL campaign with Super Bowl in East Rutherford, NJ, but pop the bubbly my team, the Seattle Seahawks are playing for the trophy. They’ve come to New York, my town, to play for a chance to be crowned Super Bowl Champions. Awesome.
As a child I grew up a Seahawks fan. The combination of wide receiver Steve Largent and quarterback Dave Krieg making plays and rallying to a few victories (including play-off runs) had me pulling for the team. Plus, it helped that my Dad did business in Seattle and often came back with souvenirs. I remained a fan through tough times and even retired once (as a fan), but I am back to support them today – the 12th man. Therefore, I decided to make my Sunset Sunday post from Seattle, but I needed some help. Captain and Clark, Seattle fans “from” Washington came to the rescue. Thank you Tawny and Chris. Tawny, said of course, she would do anything for the Hawks and I don’t doubt it, many of the fans I met this week when walking through Super Bowl Boulevard (Times Square) of the Seattle Seahawks seemed just as friendly.
Sunset Sky at Pike Place Fish Market
This image is outside the famous Pike Place Fish Market, yes the place where the guys throw the fish across the market to entertain the customers. The image is from a place that is all about fun, loving the day’s work and even making it a game. A perfect fit for this team. Go Seahawks!
Stay adventurous, Craig
I’ll be tweeting with the hashtag #StayAdvSB48 for those who want to follow a Super Bowl adventure of a Seattle Seahawks fan. Yes, I am going to the game. See you at the big show.
